Wow...

So we get to the Smithsonian. Of course things can never go perfectly smooth. They somehow misplaced our name and we had to convince the security guard at the staff parking that we were here to demonstrate yo-yos. Then after that we couldn't find our contact. But it finally worked out.

We entered the Smithsonian through the back and followed one of the directors to our location.

A big room with a stage under a large American flag. Pretty cool. What made this cooler? This flag wasn't just any flag, but the same flag that was draped over the Pentagon directly following 9/11. The location was amazing...

And three World Records are Broken.

Pictured to the left are John Narum and Dale Bell who both met up with us today.

Clutched in Dales hand is the new DJ, long sleeping fixed axle yo-yo. A very special yo-yo designed to for one thing, breaking the fixed axle world record for spin time.

Dale threw first over 2 minutes, followed by John who broke it with 2 minutes and 22.45 seconds, then Mickey who broke it with 2 minutes and 29.6 seconds. Amazing. In the end they each have a record, Dale has the masters, John has the juniors, and Mickey has the open. Very exciting and very fun.

Even the crowd maintained interest just watching a yo-yo spin for minutes on end. :)

Never Fail To Impress

The Smithsonian was a great demo. Tons of people, lots of players, and just fun.

Here is a picture of us all on stage towards the end of our demonstration.

The crowd loved it. :)

Another Great Picture

We shouldn't fail to mention that we had many yo-yo players come to meet up with us making this stop one of our best.

Dick Stohr even made a special appearance with us and helped give a little background on the yo-yo.

After the Smithsonian we all went back to Dick's house with a bunch of yo-yo players and just relaxed and talked yo-yos. It was awesome. What a great day.

Tommorows the last day of the tour. Thanks to everyone who came out. :)
